BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The first annual Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 13 in the Eggertsville and University Park areas near the University at Buffalo South (Main Street) Campus.
A guide to more than three dozen gardens that can be viewed along the walk will be available at 246 Capen Blvd., headquarters for the walk. The walk is named for Samuel P. Capen, who was UB chancellor during the designing and building of the South Campus.
The event is sponsored by UB's University Community Initiative (UCI), the Eggertsville Community Organization (ECO) and the Gloria J. Parks Community Center.
Cornell Master Gardeners, Snyder Ridge Landscaping & Gardening Center and the Parkside Community Association Garden Tour also provided assistance with this event.
