BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Terri Katz Kasimov, renowned Western New York collage artist and arts educator, will be at the University at Buffalo's Anderson Gallery for a three-session collage workshop on May 29, June 5 and June 12.
Each session will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will cost $20 per session or $55 for all three sessions. Reservations and a supply purchase are required. Call Ginny Lohr at 829-3754 to reserve a space or for more information.
The workshop will focus on Katz Kasimov's unique collage-making technique and give each participant an opportunity to create his or her own masterpiece. The instructor will provide an assortment of papers, scraps and supplies for use in the collages, but participants are encouraged to bring personal materials such as color copies of photographs and any art supplies they already own such as brushes, watercolors, acrylics, and drawing pens and pencils.
The following items are required and should be purchased before the workshop: one 8 oz. jar of Liquitex gel medium and any size 140 lb. cold press paper.
Katz Kasimov's work is in many local collections, including UB Anderson Gallery, Burchfield-Penney Art Center and Castellani Art Museum. This is the first of two three-session workshops that Katz Kasimov will offer at UB Anderson Gallery. The second workshop will be formally announced at a later date.
