BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present MacHomer on at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Feb 27 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. MacHomer is sponsored by the UB Student Association.

"The Simpsons" meet Shakespeare in this hilarious one-man show performed by writer/actor Rick Miller. The story of the Bard's "MacBeth" is performed by Miller using as many as 50 character voices from the hit cartoon series. Rick Miller has performed MacHomer to capacity crowds across the U.S. and Canada, including the Center for the Arts in 2001. The show has won rave reviews and awards from Edinburgh Scotland, and London, England, to Melbourne, Australia, and the U.S. CBC-TV raved, "The cumulative effect of all the voices, sounds, and characters, all from one person, is overpowering, not only in the humor, but in the sheer, in-your-face, non-stop, over-the-top talent of the man."

Miller is a Montréal-trained actor/writer who has performed in three languages on four continents. As the artistic director of WYRD Productions, he has created and performed three award-winning solo shows: Art?, Slightly Bent and the worldwide hit MacHomer, which now is entering its eighth year of touring. Miler is one of Canada's most respected multidisciplinary performers, with credits ranging from classical theater to the avant-garde, from musical theater to film and television.
