BUFFALO, N.Y. -- New York State Governor George E. Pataki has declared June 11, 2004, as a statewide day of prayer and remembrance in honor of President Ronald Wilson Reagan, and has directed that all state offices, including the University at Buffalo, be closed for the day.

All non-essential employees regularly scheduled to work on June 11 will receive the day off with pay and without charge to accruals. The closure applies to all state, UB Foundation, Research Foundation and FSA employees. Supervisors are to determine what positions are essential, and those employees must report to work as scheduled. Employees deemed essential for operations will be granted compensatory time off.

Research Foundation paychecks for June 11 will be delivered to campus offices on the afternoon of June 10 and will be negotiable after 3 p.m. For those who have direct deposit, funds will appear in their account on June 11.
