UB Management Students Recognized at Commencement

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Eleven graduates of the University at Buffalo School of Management received awards during the school's commencement ceremony on May 13.

• Nicklaus C. Ambrose of Amherst, the Center for International Leadership's William H. Wendel Award, presented to the graduating MBA student who best exemplifies leadership within the context of the multinational cohort of full-time program participants.

• Darrell L. Bulmer of Tonawanda, the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key, presented to the full-time undergraduate student who compiles the highest management grade-point average of all eligible graduating students. Bulmer also received the Adriana Ilyse Thaler Memorial Senior Award in Marketing, presented to the senior marketing student who best demonstrates academic excellence, leadership, marketing professionalism and personal motivation.

• Rajat Singhal of Amherst, the Charles H. Diefendorf Award in Finance, presented to the student who has made the greatest contribution to the finance discipline.

• Dinesh K. Gauri of Amherst, the Paul E. Green Award in Marketing, presented to the School of Management doctoral student exemplifying excellence in the area of marketing research.

• Pramod Krishna of Amherst, the Sidney N. Kahn Memorial Award for Excellence in

Sales and Marketing, presented to the MBA student who has made the greatest contribution to the field of sales and marketing.

• Loren M. Petersen of Clarence, the Undergraduate Achievement Award, presented to the undergraduate student who has demonstrated scholastic excellence and has rendered outstanding extracurricular service to the school and to the university.

• Jennifer M. Levanduski of Buffalo, the MBA Achievement Award, presented to the MBA student who has demonstrated scholastic excellence and also has rendered outstanding extracurricular service to the school and to the university.

• Jin Kyu Lee of Amherst, the Ph.D. Achievement Award, presented to the Ph.D. student who has demonstrated scholastic excellence and also has rendered outstanding extracurricular service to the school and the university.

• Kelley L. Strobl of Buffalo, a University at Buffalo Accounting Association Michael S. Dockery Memorial Senior Award, presented to the senior accounting students who have contributed in a superior way to the Institute of Management Accountants and the accounting profession, fellow students and to the School of Management.

• Alexandra C. Whitt of Amherst, a University at Buffalo Accounting Association Michael S. Dockery Memorial Senior Award, presented to the senior accounting students who have contributed in a superior way to the Institute of Management Accountants and the accounting profession, fellow students and to the School of Management.

• Huixin Cui of Buffalo, The Wall Street Journal Award for Academic Excellence by an MBA Student, presented to the full-time MBA student who compiles the highest grade-point average of all eligible graduating students.
