BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Bonadio Group, an upstate New York accounting, consulting and financial services firm, has donated $1,000 for an accounting scholarship at the University at Buffalo School of Management.
The one-year scholarship, for the 2009-10 academic year, will be awarded to a student in the accounting program and will also provide the opportunity for a paid internship at The Bonadio Group.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must be a native of upstate New York in his or her senior year at the UB School of Management, with a 3.0 grade-point average and meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.
The Bonadio Group has established the scholarship as a means to foster interest in the accounting profession in upstate New York. The firm is the largest independent CPA firm in the region and has offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Geneva and Perry.
