Marc Adler's volunteer time commitment to the UB Alumni Association has been extraordinary since he first served on the achievement awards committee in 2001. Since then, he has volunteered at virtually every type of alumni event, including while fulfilling his two-year term as president of the UBAA (also a volunteer position), from 2007-09.
Adler's passion for connecting with students and educating them about the alumni association is evident a number of ways. He was instrumental in creating Freshman Move-in Day, in which alumni volunteers assist students as they move into residence halls, and he also provides keen insight for students and parents regarding the UBAA during freshman orientation sessions. He often attends Hump Day Hangouts to mingle with students, and has hosted or attended a number of Dinner for 12 Strangers events.
Since 1995 Adler has been an adjunct professor in marketing and advertising, teaching more than 1,500 students over the years. A popular instructor, in 2007 he was named one of five recipients of the Milton Plesur Excellence in Teaching Award by the Student Association.
