Though he is busy cultivating a career in engineering that includes frequent international travel, Michael J. Dray still finds time to volunteer for UB. A process engineer for start-up company ZeroPoint Clean Tech Inc., Dray generously gives his time and energy in service to promoting and supporting the school and its students.
His wide-ranging contributions include serving on the UB Engineering Alumni Association (UB EAA) board, for which he also serves as secretary. He also chairs two prestigious board committees, the engineering scholarship committee and the engineer of the year selection committee.
Dray actively participates in coordinating and attending university events, including UB Business Partners Day and the UB Alumni Corporate Reception. Perhaps most telling is his involvement in student receptions and ceremonies; he has presented scholarships at the UB EAA scholarship reception, interviewed candidates during student interview night and presented pins to graduating students during commencement. Dray has also been instrumental in developing recruitment promotional materials for the chemical engineering department, providing text and photos as a representative alumnus of the school.
