BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Back To Buffalo 2: UB Dance Alumni All-Star Concert on Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. The performance is sponsored by the UB Alumni Association.
The center's Dance Residency Outreach Program brings professional dance companies into area schools for workshops, demonstrations and performances. Since 1997, more than a dozen professional visiting artists have provided more than 20,000 students with free dance performances and workshops.
Additionally, the Dance Residency helps attract prospective students and affords UB dance majors the opportunity to take part in master classes with international professional artists. This program allows the center to give back to the community while helping UB's Department of Theatre and Dance provide its students with amazing experiences and connections in the performing arts.
After last year's sold-out dance alumni concert event, the center is pleased to announce Back To Buffalo 2, featuring another eclectic group of accomplished alumni. All proceeds from the performance will benefit the spring 2011 Taylor 2 residency.
