BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will welcome Bob Newhart on Friday, April 1, at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre, Center for the Arts, UB North Campus. The performance will be presented by Beechwood Continuing Care and proceeds will benefit Beechwood's Welcome Home initiative.
Newhart's more than 50-year career has spanned two successful television shows and 14 feature films. A true entertainment legend, he has sold millions of comedy albums worldwide and performs to sold-out crowds across the country. With his dry wit and wry smile, he continues to bring warmth and laughter to generations of fans.
Newhart is the recipient of many honors, including the prestigious "Mark Twain Prize for American Humor," presented by the Kennedy Center and a designation as an "American Master" by PBS. His performance will include anecdotes, video clips, show biz stories, and the wit and humor that only Bob Newhart can deliver.
This performance is presented by Beechwood Continuing Care, Western New York's premier not-for-profit senior care community and the first to spearhead the national movement for person-centered care and household living. Named Welcome Home, this initiative focuses on enhancing as many aspects as possible that make Beechwood a true home for their residents by ensuring they experience the best quality of life.
