UB Alert: Strong-Arm Robbery Reported Sunday on North Campus

University at Buffalo Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the entrance to Red Jacket Building #2, on the North Campus.

The victim told investigators saw the suspects standing outside the building and let them in. The two suspects then pushed the victim against the wall, removed his wallet from his pocket and grabbed his iPhone.

Suspects are believed to have fled the campus in a blue minivan. The suspects are described as a dark-skinned black female, approximately 5-foot-6-inches tall with straight long hair, average build, a bracelet-style tattoo on her wrist and wearing a purple blouse. The second is also described as a dark-skinned black female, about 5-foot-9inches tall and around 200 pounds, with hair that just covered her ears.

Anyone with information regarding this assault is asked to contact the University Police at 716-645-2227. University Police investigators are currently looking into this matter.

Members of the university community are reminded to not prop doors or let strangers into the residence halls. They are encouraged to always stay alert to their surroundings at all times, and to report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons/activities to the University Police as soon as possible at 716-645-2222.
