BUFFALO, N.Y. — On Monday, Nov. 3, theatrical producer and designer Doug Fitch, the 2014 WBFO Visiting Professor in the University at Buffalo College of Arts and Sciences, will present an illustrated talk, “Visual Narratives and the Kitchen Sink: An approach to making sense of that which otherwise mightn’t.”
The event will take place Monday, Nov. 3 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Baird Recital Hall, 250 Baird Hall, on UB’s North Campus.
In addition to a discussion by Fitch, it will feature extended clips from many of his award-winning theatrical and operatic productions with and for such institutions as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Philharmonic, the Juilliard School, Santa Fe Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Canada’s National Arts Center and the Royal Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
This event is is free of charge and open to the public.
As part of his residency at UB, Fitch is mounting his original production, “How Did We…?” with UB theatre, dance and music students and faculty. It will be onstage at UB Nov. 13, 14 and 15.
