BUFFALO, N.Y. – Learn about the University at Buffalo’s role in Governor Cuomo’s START-UP NY program in a free lecture event presented by UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS).
When: April 16, 4-5 p.m.
Where: Bruce A. Holm Commons, 2nd floor of the CBLS at 701 Ellicott St., Buffalo.
Who: Panel facilitated by Karen Utz, director, program administration for UB’s Office of Economic Development (OED) and lead contact for START-UP NY program at UB. Representatives from START-UP NY approved companies will include: Illuminating Diagnostics, Heads Up Display, HemoGenyx and more.
Since Cuomo announced the program, 37 companies have pledged to move or expand in the Buffalo Niagara region and work with UB to further their respective business.
Christina Orsi, associate vice president for economic development, will be introduced in her new role as head of UB’s OED.
