Buffalo, NY- The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts presents Demetri Martin: Let’s Get Awkward Tour on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $36.50, Students $21.50 and are on sale now. A limited number of VIP seats are available for $136.50 (includes meet & greet and premium seating).
Demetri Martin first began stand-up comedy in New York City. He has been a staff writer for Late Night with Conan O’Brien and a regular performer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. His one-man shows, If I and Dr. Earnest Parrot Presents Demetri Martin have won awards such as the Perrier Award at the International Fringe Festival in 2003 and the Barry Award at Australia’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2006.
Demetri has released two stand-up comedy albums and three hour-long standup comedy specials. One of these specials being for Netflix in 2015 entitled, Demetri Martin Live (at the time). He has created and starred in his own television series entitled Important Things with Demetri Martin for Comedy Central. He has also made appearances in Showtime’s House of Lies and Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock.
In 2016 Demetri wrote and directed his first feature film entitled Dean.
