This will be the first chance that many alumni of the Jacobs School and community members will have to see and tour the new medical school building.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Members of the media and the general public are invited to a panel discussion among leaders of the major Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) institutions at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, in the M&T Bank Auditorium, Room 2120, in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, 955 Main Street, Buffalo.

Michael E. Cain, MD, vice president for health sciences at UB and dean of the Jacobs School, is the keynote speaker on the panel titled “Boldly Transforming Western New York’s Health.” Also speaking on the panel are Matthew Enstice, president and CEO of the BNMC; Kevin Gibbons, MD, executive director of UBMD Physicians’ Group and senior associate dean for clinical affairs at the Jacobs School; Candace Johnson, PhD, president and CEO of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center; and Jody Lomeo, president and CEO of Kaleida Health.

The discussion will center on the strengthening collaborations among BNMC organizations focused on medical education, research and top-notch clinical care now that the Jacobs School has moved downtown.

The public is invited to tour the new Jacobs School at 11 a.m., following the panel discussion.

This will be the first chance that many alumni of the Jacobs School and community members will have to see and tour the new medical school building.

The event is part of the Jacobs School’s annual Reunion Weekend/Spring Clinical Day, which is held every year to inform alumni and friends, as well as faculty, staff and students, about what’s new at the Jacobs School.
