University at Buffalo Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred just before 10 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 1) on Hadley Road in front of the Hadley Village Apartments on UB's North Campus.
The female victim, a 20-year-old undergraduate student from Singapore, was taken to Erie County Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.
The suspect's vehicle is a 2003 to 2008 model dark colored four-door Honda Accord. The vehicle could have damage to the front right hood, bumper, fender and head lamp.

The university released the following statement regarding the incident:
“The university is in close contact with her family and friends, and is providing whatever assistance it can, including making arrangements for the family’s stay in Buffalo. The entire UB community remains hopeful that she will make a full recovery from her injuries.
As a response to this incident, University Police reassessed the area and found that proper safety measures for both pedestrians and motorists are in place. The crosswalk is properly marked, there is appropriate signage and the area is well-lit. University Police understand that there is heightened concern. As a result, University Police have stepped up traffic enforcement in this area of campus and are reminding drivers about the importance of pedestrian safety.”
