UB statement about apparent student suicide

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old male undergraduate student from North Tonawanda died tonight in an apparent suicide on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus.

“The university is in contact with his family and is providing whatever support and assistance we can during this extremely difficult time. The entire UB community is deeply saddened by his terrible tragedy. We offer our heartfelt condolences to our student’s family, friends and classmates.”

Counseling services are available for anyone needing assistance during this difficult time.
