BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center will host its first “Rocking and Enrolling” family-friendly community recruitment event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at its downtown center at 555 Ellicott St.
The free event, intended for prospective students and their families, includes meet-and-greets with staff and alumni, instant applications, a live DJ, light refreshments, a prize wheel and giveaways.
“This event is an opportunity for us to welcome back alumni, prospective students, community partners and anyone interested in tuition-free programming, high school equivalency, college preparation, and job/career searches and interviews,” says Julius Gregg Adams, UB EOC executive director. “While here, you can meet some of the faculty and staff, and ask questions about the programming and services that we provide.”
For more information go to the UB EOC website or send an email. Use this Rocking and Enrolling event registration link to register for the event.
All attendees who pre-register will receive a raffle ticket for a $50 gift card drawing.
COVID-19 precautions, such as masks and hand sanitizers, will be implemented at this event.
The UB EOC is committed to providing academic, vocational and career services to Western New York residents. Students can select from more than 20 programs and services — including tuition-free certifications, and online and in-person classes — offered days, evenings and some weekends.
In addition to academic and vocational programs, UB EOC also offers specialized learning community programs, like ATTAIN, to make the learning experience small and personalized.
