UB cancels classes and activities Wednesday, Jan. 17

BUFFALO, N.Y. – University at Buffalo classes and activities scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 17, across all three UB campuses, are cancelled due to severe weather.

A lake effect snow warning is in effect for all of Erie County through Thursday, Jan. 18, with intense lake effect snow bands expected to impact the Buffalo metro area on Wednesday.

Updates and additional information about changes in university schedule and operations, including UB Stampede services and UB library hours, will be posted at UB’s emergency website.

NOTE TO MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA: Please do not use the term “closed” when referring to UB’s status. The correct terminology is “all UB classes and activities are cancelled today.”
