Los Angeles Times: UB researchers to test house in earthquake simulation

An article in the Los Angeles Times reports UB researchers will subject an entire house to a magnitude 6.7 earthquake for a systematic assessment of how a typical wooden suburban home holds up to an earthquake. "Northridge was a wake-up call," said Andre Filiatrault, professor of civil, structural and environmental engineering.
