JADA: Buchanas quoted on preventing cheating in dental education

Richard Buchanan, dean of the School of Dental Medicine, is quoted in an article in the Journal of the American Dental Association on the ADA Symposiumon Integrity and Ethics in Dental Education on preventing cheating in dental education. "There is this idea of having 'an ethics conversation' with students now," he said. "You demonstrate your own ethics, for example with recordkeeping. You explain this is why accuracy of communication is essential, because patient welfare depends on it. We're starting to have these conversations, and I think that is part of the solution."
