An article in The New York Times about the likelihood that Americans will elect a woman or an African-American to the White House before the University of Alabama -- or most of the other so-called big-time college football powers -- hires an African American head football coach interviews Athletic Director Warde Manuel, who said, "We should have an open interview section and it should be inclusive, it should be a thoughtful process and it should include a minority candidate. Open the process up and you might be surprised at what you find."
