An article in the Greensboro News-Record on the record-setting number of people who are expected to vote in this year's election -- as many as 80 percent of registered voters in the county -- quotes James Campbell, professor and chair of political science. "Once people vote the first time, the odds go up that they'll vote a second time," he said. "You're establishing these habits and it they don't know much about politics, they'll be more attentive to picking up what they can about politics between elections."
