Sports Illustrated: Articles look at UB football program, minorities in coaching

The UB football program is featured in two articles that appear in the Dec. 29 issue of Sports Illustrated. The first looks at the tools that coach Turner Gill has used to turn the football team from a longtime doormat into a conference champion and bowl-bound team.

In addition, the Point After column on the lack of African-American coaches in college football and allegations of racism calls Gill's being turned down by Auburn and signing a one-year extension to stay at UB "the best thing that could have happened for the greater cause."
