An article in Popular Science reports researchers at UB and Amrita University in India have created a tracking network that works well even with the cheapest of cameras by using artificial intelligence to recognize identifying factors. The new tracking method could improve safety and security in nursing homes, hospitals and other closed spaces while providing occupants with freedom from continuous surveillance.
