An article in the Chicago Daily Herald about a proposal to expand gambling in Illinois and concerns about what it could mean to problem gamblers reports a UB study has shown that living near a casino can as much as double your likelihood of becoming addicted to gambling and quotes the Research Institute on Addictions' John Welte. "It's making it more convenient," he said. "And if it's more convenient, more people are going to be getting into trouble."
