Tom Rosenthal, chair of the UB Department of Family Medicine, was quoted in a front page story in Buffalo News on yesterday's Supreme Court ruling on President Obama's signature health care reform law, noting that the law will increase the need for primary care providers and that it institutes the nation's first national standard of care, which exists in other industrialized countries. In addition, a story on WIVB-TV about how doctors viewed the impact of the Supreme Court decision upholding the Affordable Care Act included interviews with Stanley Schwartz, UB professor of medicine, and Mark Lema, chair of the Department of Anesthesiology.
