An article in USA Today about the low number of college students who get their annual flu shots reports on research by Janet Yang, assistant professor of communication, that showed that only about 10 percent of college students received the vaccine during the swine-flu pandemic, possibly because some students felt "too capable" to receive the vaccine. In addition, she was interviewed on WBEN-AM; that interview is not available online.
