The Buffalo News reports that UB medical researchers are partnering with local company IMMCO Diagnostics to improve diagnosis of Sjogren's Syndrome, a disease that causes severe dry mouth and eyes. The article quotes Julian L. Amrbus Jr., MD, professor in the Department of Medicine in the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and immunologist at Buffalo General Medical Center. Ambrus co-authored a research paper identifying new antibodies that could help detect Sjogren's Sydrome.
