Is it better to give than to receive? Not only does it feel good but it may stave off death.
An article in the Atlantic Wire reports on research by Michael Poulin, assistant professor of psychology, that found that it truly is better to give than to receive. “We found that when dealing with stressful situations, those who had helped others during the previous year were less likely to die than those who had not helped others,” he said.
