An article on The 6th Floor, the blog of The New York Times Magazine, discussed the results of the study by UB researchers led by neurology professor Robert Zivadinov showing that multiple sclerosis patients did not improve from the endovascular surgery designed to correct CCSVI. Zivadinov, who the story reports presented the results yesterday at the American Academy of Neurology meeting, said, “We were disappointed and surprised…It’s very discouraging. We thought it would go the other way, or else we wouldn’t do the study — you do the study to try and help the patient.”
