The New York Times publishes UB professor's op-ed on making gun companies accountable to victims

The New York Times ran an op ed titled, “Make Gun Companies Pay Blood Money” co-written by Lucinda M. Finley, UB Law School professor of trial and appellate advocacy, and UB vice provost for faculty affairs, and John G. Culhane, a professor of law at Widener University and director of its Health Law Institute. The piece submits that for every gun sold, those who manufacture or import it should pay a tax that would be used to create a compensation fund for innocent victims of gun violence.
