An article in the Los Angeles Times reports on a study by Zhen Yan, professor of physiology and biophysics, that showed that women respond better than men to repeated stress thanks to estrogen. “It’s kind of a popular view that males and females respond differently to stress,” she said. “Our study offers the molecular mechanism.” Articles also appeared on Medical News Today, New Zealand’s Stuff news and information website, Science Daily, Red Orbit, Yahoo! Canada’s Shine blog and the Chicago Tribune.
