The PBS News Hour reports on UB study that crib toys can harbor strep for months

An article on PBS NewsHour reports a study by UB researchers has found that two pathogens that commonly cause pneumonia were still found on toys, books and other surfaces hours after daycare centers closed for the day – even after a thorough cleaning. Stories on the research, which was conducted by UB microbiologist Anders Hakansson, appeared in news outlets that include The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, National Post, New York Daily News, Huffington Post, Yahoo News, Futurity, Red Orbit, Philadelphia Inquirer and Consumer Affairs.
