A story on Discovery News reports a UB study has shown for the first time conclusive evidence that the proteins in the human body vibrate in different patterns, and quotes Andrea Markelz, professor of physics, who led the study. “If you tap on a bell, it rings for some time, and with a sound that is specific to the bell,” she said. “This is how the proteins behave.” Articles also appeared in news outlets that include Futurity, Red Orbit, Science Recorder, Terahertz Technology, French Tribune, Italy’s Informazione, American Biotechnologist, Science Daily and South Africa’s News Tonight.
