The Guardian interviews UB researcher about a government lottery to encourage tax paying in Slovakia

An article in the British national daily newspaper The Guardian quotes John Welte, senior research scientist in UB’s Research Institute on Addictions, about efforts by the government of Slovakia to get companies to pay their share of taxes by asking citizens to collect their sales receipts and enter the amounts into a national database, which would then enter them into a monthly lottery and a chance to win a prize. “Most likely to participate would be frugal people who are careful with money,” he said.
