An article in The Christian Science Monitor interviews William J. Rapaport, associate professor emeritus of computer science, who in 1972 as a graduate student in a course on the philosophy of language created a grammatically correct sentence consisting of a single word repeated multiple times: Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo.
