The Buffalo News reports that UB is scaling back plans for capital projects over five years and is moving ahead with an adjusted one-year plan that calls for $41 million in capital spending on eight projects at the North Campus and the South Campus. UB’s Laura E. Hubbard said that SUNY has been operating under spending restrictions because of the state’s Debt Reform Act of 2000. Hubbard stated: “It really put a clamp on what we were able to do in terms of capital.”
