Buffalo News reports on new companies approved for Start-Up NY

An article in the Buffalo News reports on the new companies that have been approved for the Start-Up NY program, including Illuminating Diagnostics, a biotech company founded by UB alum Sarah Scouten, which will create diagnostic testing for early detection of hospital-borne infections. In addition, an article in Business First reports four new companies have been accepted into Start-Up NY through UB, and are expected to generate 130 new jobs and $5.18 million in investment over the next five years.  Yesterday’s announcement by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo that a total of 13 new businesses have been accepted into the statewide program appeared in news outlets throughout the nation, with articles also appearing in the Associated Press, Newsday, Economic Development Blog, CBS New York, Investor’s Business Daily and Yahoo! News.
