An Associated Press article reports UB has received an $800,000 grant from the Office of Naval Research to fund work by UB engineers on the development of narrow “nanoribbons” of graphene, which will be used to develop alternatives to conventional power control systems. The article appeared in news outlets that include the Albany Times-Union, WBFO-FM, WIVB-TV, WKBW-TV, WHAM-TV and WHEC-TV in Rochester, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Houston Chronicle, Washington Times and San Francisco Chronicle.
