An article in The New York Times about Attorney General Eric Schneiderman classifying daily fantasy sports as illegal gambling under New York State law quotes Nellie Drew, a UB sports law professor, who said the attorney general’s ruling should give pause to the profession sports leagues, which are investors at FanDuel and DraftKings. “This puts them in a very difficult position,” she said. “Do you go on record as supporting daily fantasy sports, which the attorney general’s office says is gambling?”
