An article on IFL Science by Daniel Antonius, director of the Division of Forensic Psychiatry in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, looks at how terror attacks such as the coordinated attack in Paris in November and last week’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, influence mental health. “The paradox of the fear that terrorism inspires is that while it can negatively affect people and societies, it can also serve to strengthen resilience,” he writes. Articles also appeared in Discover magazine, Epoch Times, England’s Daily Mail and Raw Story.
