Letter: UB continues to invest in academic excellence

A letter to the editor in the Buffalo News by Provost Charles F. Zukoski clarifies a front page article last month that conveyed the mistaken impression that UB’s investment in athletics comes at the expense of investment in academics. “Our academic programs across the disciplines, our many cultural events like the Distinguished Speaker Series and our Division I athletics offer our students transformational experiences that prepare them to make an impact in their chosen career paths and on the world,” he writes. “As a result, UB graduates are sought by top employers around the globe.”
