An article in USA Today about Super Tuesday and the primaries and caucuses that are coming up quotes James Campbell, UB Distinguished Professor of Political Science and author of the book, “Polarized: Making Sense of a Divided America,” who said the determination of the “underdogs” should not be discounted, particularly on the Republican side. “It would be a mistake to underestimate the resolve of a large part of the Republican Party, probably a significant majority, to stop Trump,” he said. “It looks like … conservatives are ready to fight a Trump nomination to the bitter end.” The article appeared in Gannet news outlets around the nation, including WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C., WZZM-TV in Michigan and ABC10 in Sacramento.
