The Buffalo News, Business First, WBFO, Albany Times Union and other media outlets reported that researchers in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UB have received a $2 million grant to expand on their pioneering research on treating and understanding concussions. “Concussion studies in recent years at the University at Buffalo upset conventional medical wisdom by casting doubt on long-held recommendations for prolonged rest after the first few days of injury,” the Times Union reported.
