An article in the Buffalo News reports on UB’s new identity and brand strategy, which launched today, making “University at Buffalo” the single official name to be used in identifying all of the schools and units within the university. The article quotes UB President Satish K. Tripathi, who said it was time to be “much bolder in telling the world about what a great university UB is.” The article also quotes Nancy Paton, vice president for communications, and Allen Greene, director of athletics, and notes the brand strategy will also feature the Buffalo name prominently on the jerseys of UB’s athletic teams. The announcement received wide local and national coverage with articles appearing in news outlets that include in Business First, WBEN-AM, WGRZ-TV, WIVB-TV, WKBW-TV, Time Warner Cable News, The Washington Post, USA Today, Fox News, Albany Times-Union, San Francisco Chronicle and Miami Herald.
