An article in the Wall Street Journal about the growing body of evidence that is calling into question the long-held belief that extended rest is needed to treat a concussion in young people interviews John Leddy, medical director of UB’s Concussion Management Clinic, who said that most children will need a couple of days to rest after a concussion to prevent symptoms from worsening. “They should be resting, but you might be able to watch a little TV,” he said.
