An article in The Wall Street Journal about a push by tobacco companies to market smokeless products as less harmful than cigarettes interviews Lynn Kozlowski, professor of community health and health behavior in UB’s School of Public Health and Health Professions. “The ‘not safe’ message is not enough,” he said. “The risk of tragedy from keeping people in the dark is much greater than the risk of tragedy from informing people.”
