An article in Business First reports UB today unveiled details of Boldly Buffalo, the comprehensive fundraising campaign that aims to raise a total goal of $650 million, a record for public colleges in New York State. The article, which notes that the campaign has already raised $451 million, quotes UB President Satish K. Tripathi. "Our Boldly Buffalo campaign will amplify UB’s mission of transforming ambitious, dedicated students into thoughtful leaders and change-makers who have an immeasurable impact on our region and the world,” he said. “It will further the work of our award-winning faculty, whose research discoveries made here in Buffalo will help millions of local and global citizens improve their environments, their health, their prosperity and their communities.” About 61,000 donors have made 160,000 gifts to the campaign thus far, according to Rodney Grabowski, UB vice president of philanthropy and alumni engagement.
