CNBC interviewed Mara Huber, associate dean of undergraduate research and experiential learning, in an article about how universities are seeking alternative ways to study abroad, from home, during the COVID-19 situation. This fall, UB’s annual trip to Tanzania to study women’s empowerment will take place in a virtual setting. Huber said, “Universities have relationships with communities all around the world, and I think it’s time to use technology to give students access to these experiences.”
